NXT field hockey offers a competitive and truly unique club experience in the Philadelphia area. By providing players with passionate and knowledgeable coaches, NXT field hockey Club focuses on player development and skill building through our organized and enthusiastic approach to practices and games.

We believe that field hockey is a vehicle for developing and teaching the life-long values of hard work, competitive spirit and contributing your value to a team. In a supportive and challenging environment, we expect everyone on the field to respect and respond to one another. Players from 3rd to 8th grade are able to develop as athletes and individuals, while competing in local and regional tournaments.

Going beyond the sport, we try to create a genuine family atmosphere with an emphasis on building personal relationships between family, player and coach.

The Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square is home to NXT field hockey. During the competitive winter season, our players train in the Episcopal Academy’s 3 court field house. Off season training will be offered on Episcopal Academy’s Varsity Hockey field.

We welcome open and honest communication with our athletes and their families. Every member of the NXT staff is comfortable and willing to communicate with players and parents about their goals, concerns, strengths and areas for improvement.

Weekly communication from coaches or staff highlighting the week’s past events and previewing future opportunities.

Innovative curriculum, providing fast paced, fun, and balanced approach to every practice. Players will be kept moving during organized and actively coached sessions. The focus of the curriculum will be to develop individual possession skills during small games. Players will learn to attack and defend as a unit as well as communicate effectively with teammates on the court.
